Mount Dhaulagiri (8167m), the seventh highest peak in the world rises above the Kali Gandaki River, which flows between the Annapurna Massif and Nilgiri mountain. The trekking to Dhaulagiri region is rewarded with spectacular views of both majestic Himalayan peaks and White Water Rivers. The local ethnic minorities such as Magars, Thakalis and Gurungs still love to speak in their own language. Dhaulagiri (White Mountain), separated from the Annapurna region by Kali Gandaki Gorge (deepest in the world) includes some fifteen peaks above 7000 meters. This is a challenging trek, which will reward you with the opportunity to camp on a glacier, Dhaulagiri Base camp (4750m), French Pass (5360m) the highest point of the trek.
