Everest Base Camp is recommended as a 'must see before die destination'.
Out of the fourteen highest peaks in the world Nepal boasts the highest, most famous of all. Mount Everest, at 8848m, towers heavenwards from the Sagarmatha National Park, a world heritage site in the Khumbu region. Sagarmatha is the Nepalese name of Mt. Everest, which means 'the top of the tops'. Sherpas, the famous climbers, inhabit the Khumbu region. Many expedition teams can be observed from the trekking trail and May heading higher with an aim to be on the top of the world. Along the way are delightful encounters with unique flora and fauna, friendly Sherpa people, colourful festivals and Buddhist monasteries. Perhaps even a glimpse of the elusive Yeti. The story of this mountain inhabitant remains a mystery to the rest of the world. Tentativly this treks takes you about 11 to 14 days, depends on physical fitness of our valued clients.

Day: 01. Kathmandu to Phakding: (2600m.)
Following a 35 minute flight to Lukla, than walk to Phakding (2657m.) for approximately 3 hrs.
Day: 02. Phakding to Namche Bazaar: (3442m.)
Trek about 5 hours to Namche. The trail ascends gradually toward Jorsale crossing few suspension bridge over Dudh Kosi River.
Day: 03. Namchebazar
Take a rest day at Namchebazaar to acclimatize and take an excursion around the area.
Day: 04. Namche Bazaar to Tengboche: (3865m.)
Trek about 5 hours to Tengboche. This is the best place to view mountains such as Mount Everest (8848m.),
Lhotse (8527m.), LhotseShar (8387m.), Nuptse (7879m.), Ama Dablam (6857m.),
Thamserku (6611m.), Tawache (6539m.), and so forth. It is also a great opportunity to look around the highest situated Monastery in the world.
Day: 05. Tengboche to Dingboche: (4352m.)
Trekking about 5 hours through alpine meadows and yak herds, eventually reaching Dingboche.
Day: 06. Dingboche:
This is the 2nd acclimatization day and to explore the area than hike to Chukung (4743m) and see the best view of Lhotse(8527), Island Peak(6189m), Makalu(8486m) and Ama Dblam(6857m)
Day: 07. Dingboche to Labuche: (4932m.)
Trek about 5 hours to Labuche. This portion of the trek includes the best view of Nepal's grandest mountain range.
Day: 08. Labuche to Gorak Shep: (5155m.)
This is most exciting and best viewing day of the trek. At this point we may see the finest span of Mt. Everest, Mt. Pumori, Nuptse, Lotse and a wonderful sight of Kalapatthar (5545m.)
Day: 09. Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp and back to Hotel
This is the day to mid the goal by visiting Everest Base Camp, situated at the elevation of 5254m and visit Kalapathar 5545m for the best views of crown of the world. Trekkers feel extremely happy to reach this point as it gives them a life times of memories and a sense of adventurous fulfillment.
Day: 10. Gorak Shep to Pheriche: (4255m.) A gentle walk down to Pheriche, just opposite to Dingboche, is a pleasant experience and allows for some great views of several peaks.
Day: 11. Pheriche to Tengboche
Returning along the same trail with a possible path crossing between trekkers and yaks
Day: 12. Tengboche to Namche Bazaar
A short and pleasant walk to Namche Bazaar through the same trail and scenery.
Day: 13. Namche Bazaar to Lukla
A long last day's walk to Lukla on the same trail and the beautiful scenery of Dhud Kosi river and the Sherpa villages.
Day: 14. Lukla to Kathmandu
A pleasant flight by small twin otter, which allows for the opportunity to see many beautiful villages high in the mountains and an exquisite taste of the Himalayan range. |
