Kanchanjunga is on the Far Eastern side of Nepal and close to the Indian border. The main attraction of this area is the trans-Himalayan view of the world's third highest peak Kanchanjunga and world's fifth highest Makalu and many others visible along with evergreen forests and beautiful landscapes. The main crops of the people living in this area are potato, buckwheat and green vegetables. You can start the trek either from Basantapur or fly to Taplejung and start. |
