Day 01: Kathmandu to Zangmu / Neylam(3600m): 153km. Early morning scenic five hours drive to
KODARI (Nepal-China Border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and another half
an hour drive to Zangmu where after completion of immigration formalities, we drive further to
Neylam following Bhote koshi river in a deep valley with waterfalls. Overnight in Guest house.
Day 02: Neylam to Tingri/Lhatse (4050 m): 285 km. Drive through Neylam pass (3800m) with the view
of Jugal Himal and a continued drive via Lalungla pass(5050m) with the view of Mt. Xixapangma
(8013m, highest peak in Tibet), Mt. Makalu(8464m), Mt.Lhotse(8516m), Mt. Cho Oyu(8201m)
and world highest Mt. Everest(8848m). Overnight in Guest house.
Day 03: Lhatse to Xigatse (3900m): 90 km. Continue scenic drive to Xigtase, famous for Tashilumpo
Monastery and the seat of Panchen Lama.. Overnight in hotel.
Day 04: Xigatse to Gyantse (3950m): 90 km. Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama's Tashilumpo
Monastery, including Xigatse Bazar. Two hours Drive to Gyantse, a small bustling town,
lies 264km. southwest of Lhasa on the northen bank of Nyang Chu river. In the 15th century
it served as the capital of a small kingdom. Visit Khumbum Chorten which was built around
14th century A.D. It later became the main center for trade with British India. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 05: Gyantse to Lhasa (3650m): 264km. After eight hours drive, crossing over KARO LA
pass(5,010m.), and KAMBA LA (4,794 m.), then between two different mountains; Nozing
Khang Sa (7223m), and Ralung (6236m) colorful YAMADROK or TURQUIOSE LAKE and
the Tibetan lifeline river BRAHMAPUTRA (YARLUNG TSANGPO) eventually reaching
Lhasa. Your guide will reconfirm your onward airline ticket. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 06 and 07: Two full days sightseeing tour of LHASA including JOKHANG TEMPLE, BARKHOR
BAZAAR, POTALA PALACE, DREPONG and SERA MONASTERIES - Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: In the morning after breakfast, two hours drive to GONGAR airport 10:00 A.M. China local
time for departure flight to KATHMANDU. Arrival at 09:00 A.M. Nepal local time.
